Isabella Buckee-Bizek

1919 - 2014 WELLS Isabella Buckee-Bizek passed away on Oct. 10, at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Isabella was born on Dec. 20, 1919 in Stevenston, Scotland, the daughter of Angus and Margaret (McNeil) Henderson. Isabella was an extremely talented woman. She had many accomplishment to her credit. She was a Girl Scout Leader, in 1957 she was the Women's State Archery Champion for Vermont, and in 1976 she was Business Woman of the Year, of the Phoenix Business and Professional Women's organization. Isabella was a gifted concert pianist and an accomplished artist, in the medium of oil painting. Another of her many talents was sewing, of which she also taught. She loved playing Bridge. In her later years, never one to slow down, she organized the Wells Senior bus tours. She was a member of the Wells Methodist Church. She was an avid reader. Isabella is survived by her daughter, Patricia Buckbee Barber of North Bennington, and Patricia's family; Daphne (Dan) Pratt, and their son, Tyler Pratt; Arthur, Jacob, Joseph (Sherry), and their daughter, Grace; and by Margaret Buckbee Browe and her husband, Richard, of Wells, and their family Raechel (Ken) Ynesta, their daughter Sierra, and Richard (Stephanie), and their sons, Seth and Adam Browe. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Wells Cemetery with the Rev. David Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the Wells Methodist Mission Program in her memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the ROBERT M KING FUNERAL HOME, 23 Church St., Granville, N.Y.
