Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Jack A. Sucese, 71, of West Road Park in Bennington, died Monday, June 27, 2005, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

He was born in Massena, N.Y., on March 6, 1934, the son of Albert and Alice LaComb Sucese and attended local schools. Jack worked as a chef in the dietary department at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington for many years. He was very active with the Vermont Veterans Home, coordinating many functions for the veterans and making sure everyone was served their meals. He enjoyed camping, loved cooking for company at his home and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, the former Aline Beaulieu, who he married in Massena on Jan. 26, 1957; his son, Charles Paul Sucese of Fort Edward, N.Y.; two daughters, Cynthia Amidon of White Creek, N.Y., and Alice Jean Sausville of Hornell, N.Y.; four brothers, Donald and Darwin Sucese of Massena, Kenneth Sucese of Ogdensburg, N.Y., and Robert Sucese of Colorado; his sister, Shirlene Lavigne of Massena; six grandchildren, D.J., Josef and James Amidon, Chad and Richard Sucese and Stephanie Dickson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Edward John Sucese ,who died Oct. 10, 1987, and his brother, Phillip, who died in 1991.

Funeral services for Mr. Sucese will be held Saturday, July 2, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main St., Bennington. Burial will follow in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery in Bennington. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, July 1, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
