Obituary Condolences

NEWTON JUNCTION, N.H. -- Mr. James F. Pinkerton Sr., 85, of Newton Junction and formerly of Haverhill, died early Friday morning, July 14, 2006, at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont.

He was born on Oct. 30, 1920, in Snyder, Texas, son of the late James and Mary (Huddleston) Pinkerton.

Mr. Pinkerton was educated in Texas and served in the U.S. Army during World War II, attaining the rank of corporal. He also served with the 764th Military Police Battalion for two years.

In 1947, he moved to Haverhill and in 1968 moved to Newton Junction where he remained as a resident. Mr. Pinkerton was a proud self employed Farmer at Pinkerton Farm in Newton Junction.

He was the husband of the late Charlene O. (Wightman) Pinkerton, who died in 1999, and father of the late Bruce D. Pinkerton, who died in 2000.

His survivors include his son, James F. Pinkerton Jr. and his wife, Gloria, of Manchester, Vt.; a sister, Lorraine Wilburn of Texas; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service Monday at 11 a.m. at the Newton Junction Baptist Church, Peaslee Crossing Road. Burial will follow in the Willow Grove Cemetery, Newton.

At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford.
