James S. Mulvey 1941 - 2011 BENNINGTON James S. Mulvey, 70, a lifelong resident of Bennington, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at the Vermont Veterans Home, following a long illness. Born in Bennington on May 18, 1941, he was the son of Robert and Ruth Bowen Mulvey. Jim received his education in the Bennington schools and was a 1959 graduate of Bennington Catholic High School. A Vietnam veteran, he served in the Air Force during that time. Jim was employed as a master plumber by both Henry M. Tuttle Company and Monument Plumbing and Heating. He later served as the plumber at the Vermont Veterans Home. Jim was a longtime member of American Legion Post 90 in Pownal. He was an avid fan of NASCAR. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and TSGT Derk MacPherson of Incirlik Air Base, Turkey; a son, Daniel Mulvey of Bennington; two grandchildren, Megan and Melanie; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Roy Alderman of Bennington; a sister, Louise Mulvey and her companion, Cheryl Regini, of Bloomfield, Conn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Mary Ann Mulvey of Granada, West Indies, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was predeceased by an infant sister, Dorothy L. Mulvey. FUNERAL NOTICE: Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Should friends desire, contributions in James S.
