Jan Pennock Campion

Jan Pennock Campion, 65, of Loudonville, N.Y., died Tuesday, August 21, 2012, peacefully at her home.She is the mother of Bennington resident Brian Campion.

Born in Albany, N.Y., to the late State Supreme Court Justice John H. Pennock and Miriam Pennock, she was the oldest of nine children. Jan enjoyed many hobbies in life, from gardening and cooking to reading and traveling, but she was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be remembered always for her endless amounts of love, compassion, and selflessness.

Jan is survived by her children Brian (Eric Hatch), Maura (Daryl) Schauss, John (Emily), 5 grandchildren; McKenna, Kamdyn, Keeley, Nolan, and Lily, 8 brothers and sisters; Ellen (Rich) Healy, Judy (Tom) Breslin, Elaine (Mike) Szomjassy, Jack (Michelle) Pennock, Mary (the late Steve) Strassner, Moira (Paul) Spadaro, Paul (Shannon) Pennock, Pat (Lydia) Pennock, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
