Jane E. Gattlin Obituary
Sandgate, VT - Jane Elizabeth Gattlin, 91, a resident of Tate Hill Road, passed away Sunday April 9, 2017 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

Jane was born in Montclaire, NJ on September 21, 1925 the daughter of the late Luther and Susan (Sweeting) McLean.

She attended local school and graduated from Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. She was an accomplished artist of which her works were shown at the Southwestern Vermont Art Center and the Arlington Library. She also took correspondence courses with Norman Rockwell. Jane was a member of the Sandgate Methodist Church and the Battenkill Grange.

Jane is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Gattlin whom she married in 1950 in Montclaire, NJ. Mr. Gattlin died September 25, 2013.

SERVICES: Funeral services for Jane will be held Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 3pm at the Sandgate Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Sandgate Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday April 11, 2017 from 5-7pm at Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel Historic Route 7A Arlington, VT.
