Obituary Condolences

EASTON, N.Y. -- Janet Elsworth, 54, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy, after being stricken at her residence. She resided in Easton with her husband William Elsworth.

Janet was born Jan. 4, 1950 in Bennington, Vt. daughter of the late Forrest W. Hall and Helen J. Hall of Hoosick Falls. She graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School and from the Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Troy. Janet was employed at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy as a registered nurse.

Janet and her family owned and operated the Elsworth Farm in Easton where she was very active with the daily operation. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hoosick, where she also served as a clerk. Janet was devoted to her Lord and a devoted wife and mother who loved her family.

Survivors other than her husband, William, and mother, Helen, include her step father Malcolm Hall of Hoosick Falls; a daughter, Melissa Thompson and her husband Eric of Easton; five sons, Darren Elsworth and his wife Amy of Greenwich, James Elsworth and his wife Katrina of Summersville, S.C., Timothy Elsworth and his wife Paula of Asheboro, N.C., John Elsworth and his wife Cindy of Easton and Benjamin Elsworth of Easton; three brothers, David Hall of Hoosick, Donald Hall of Orlando, Fla. and Dale Hall of Hoosick Falls; also survived by eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday Feb. 15, 2004 at 5 p.m. from the First Baptist Church in Hoosick on South Street. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m.

Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004. Memorial contributions may be made to the Deacon’s Fund of the First Baptist Church of Hoosick. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St. in Hoosick Falls.
