Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- The Requiem Eucharist and Burial Office was offered for Mrs. Janet A. Mattison on Wednesday afternoon, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bennington with the Reverend Anita Schell-Lambert, rector of the church officiating. The Crucifer was Emily Kennedy.

Organist for the service was Mr. Randall Krum. Special music included: Amazing Grace, Precious Lord Take My Hand, and Just A. Closer Walk With Thee.

Interment followed in the family lot in Grandview Cemetery in Shaftsbury, where Reverend Schell-Lambert offered the prayers of committal. Pallbearers for the services were her four grandsons; Brian Wade III, Joshua Longtin, Cortland Wade-Bailey and Cody Wade-Bailey and Howard Snow and Richard Petersen.

Attending the visitation at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, were members of the American Legion Post #13, Auxiliary with whom Janet had been a long time member.

Jane Wade Mattison, age 81, a resident of Lower East Road in Bennington, died at her home on Saturday, December 2, 2006 unexpectedly.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
