Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- A prayer service was held for Jean L. Caouette on Monday morning, April 17, 2006, at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of resurrection at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church with the Rev. Vincent Coppola, associate pastor, officiating. Concelebrating the Mass was the Rev. James Preskenis, the pastor.

Assisting at the Mass were Francis Sausville, Leonard Anzivino, Dennis Amado and Barth Vander Els.

The pall was placed on the casket by Mrs. Caouette’s daughters, Kathy James and Tricia Buntich, and her son, Michael, and his wife, Victoria. The wooden cross was placed on the casket by Mrs. Caouette’s sister, Trudy Storbeck.

The scriptures were read by her grandnieces, Ashley Henry and Erin Henry. The Eucharistic gifts were brought to the altar by her daughters, Kathy and Tricia, and her daughter-in-law, Victoria.

The organist for the Mass was Donald McMahon and the soloist was Monica Murray. The hymns for the Mass included “Amazing Grace,” “Ave Maria,” “The Prayer of St. Francis” and “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.”

Following the Mass, interment followed in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the services were Michael Caouette, Marty Storbeck, Timothy Storbeck, T. C. Storbeck, Glenn Henry, Norman James and Steve Buntich.

A time of fellowship followed at the family home on Woodland Drive.

Jean Louise Caouette, 72, a resident of Woodland Drive, died on Monday, April 10, 2006, at her home following a brief illness, surrounded by her family.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
