1988 - 2015 BENNINGTON Jeremy Paul Peterson, 26, a resident of Beech St., died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Albany Medical Center from injuries sustained in an accident in Bennington on August 29, 2015. Born in Bennington on October 16, 1988, he was the son of Kimberly Peterson and David Pratt Jr. Jeremy received his education at Mt. Anthony Union High School. After receiving his CDL license Jeremy drove for Prime Trucking and at the time of his death was employed by J. B. Hunt Transport. A very caring and loving guy, Jeremy was also an animal lover and gun enthusiast who enjoyed target shooting. Survivors include two daughters, Makayla and Scarlett Peterson; his mother and step-father, Kimberly and Lance Salmon; his father, David Pratt Jr.; Giles Lugatto who helped raise him; his girlfriend, Amanda Clayton; the mothers of his children, Shanda Felt and Nicole Bishop; three brothers, Skyler Pratt and Nicholas and Mathias Cormier; aunts and uncles, Patricia Sprague, Vicki (David) Brady, Marianne Parizo (Jerry Crandall), Lucy (Mark) Parizo, Sally (Alan) Ouimette and their son, Cody; Orville (Naomi) Peterson Jr.; and Kenneth Jones. Jeremy was predeceased by his grandparents, Pearl Fuller and Orville Peterson Sr., an aunt and uncle, Dawn Jones and Arthur Sprague and by three cousins, Robert Chapman Jr., Heather Jones and Koby Peterson. FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends may call at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 2 to 5p.m. when the family will be in attendance. Committal services will take place at the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11a.m. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Jeremy P. Peterson's memory may be made to either the Make A Wish Foundation or the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
