Jerrie D. Whitlock

1936-2012 MANCHESTER CENTER Jerrie D. Whitlock, 76, a resident of Torry Knoll in Manchester, passed away Saturday December 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.

Jerrie was born in Garden City, Kansas on January 1, 1936 the daughter of James Robert Cleaver and Virginia Sever and attended Kansas schools. Jerrie worked in retail for many years and loved caring for other people. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed listening to the sounds of Big Band music, traveling, especially to Maine and cherished times spent with her family.

Jerrie is survived by her sons Jeff Metcalfe and his wife Kim of Proctor, Vermont, James Metcalfe and his wife Vonda of Pratt, Kansas and Joe Metcalfe and his wife Kimberly of Mt. Tabor, Vermont, her daughters Jackie Metcalfe of Preston, Kansas and Jennifer Keyes and her husband Duane of Walnut Grove, Missouri, her sister Joyclyn Johnson of Bennington, step brothers Barry, Dale and Chris Jackson and Michael, step-sisters Carolyn, Sandra, Pam, Janice and Carol, her grandchildren Stacey Bourdon, Shelby and Matthew Cotham, Dillon, Asa, and Kiefer Metcalfe, Misty Roberts and Steven, Jeff and Danielle Metcalfe, step-grandchildren Audrey and Amber Blake, five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her step-brother Glenn Jackson.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Jerrie will be held Thursday morning January 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Brewster & Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, Vermont. Rev. Kathleen Clark of the Federated Church of East Arlington will officiate. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Jerrie's memory may be made to the Mark Skinner Library or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, c/o Brewster & Shea Funeral Service P.O.
