Obituary Condolences

WHITHINGHAM -- Jerry W. LeMay Sr., 73, a resident of Route 100 in Whitingham, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007.

Jerry was born in Shelton, Conn., on Jan. 19, 1934, the son of Jeremiah and Beatrice (Catlin) LeMay and attended local schools.

Jerry worked in the excavation business for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jerry is survived by three sons, Jerry W. LeMay Jr. of North Adams, Mass., Robert LeMay of Readsboro, and Timothy LeMay of Gardner, Mass.; two daughters, Christine LeMay, of Readsboro, and Catherine LeMay of North Adams, Mass.; his brother, George LeMay of Whitingham; and his grandchildren, Joslin and Jessica LeMay. He was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph LeMay and Michael Suzio.

Funeral services for Jerry will be held Tuesday morning Oct. 16, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Covey & Allen Funeral Home 44 East Main Street Wilmington. Pastor John Brigham of the Community Church of Whitingham and the Readsboro Baptist Church will conduct the service. There are no visiting hours.
