BENNINGTON -- Jessica “Jessei” Lynn Lussier, 27, a resident of Orange and formerly of Bennington, died on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, following a brief illness.

She was born in Pittsfield, Mass., on Aug. 3, 1977 and was the daughter of Arthur and Sandra (Hurley) Lussier. She received her education in local schools. Jessei has been employed in different careers over the past few years and at the time of her death she was employed at Byer Hill Horse Farm in Orange as a stablehand, working with horses.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bennington. Jessei was an avid horsewomen and lover of all animals, including reptiles. She enjoyed traveling. Jessei will be remembered for her strong will and independence.

Survivors include her parents, of Bennington; her son, Trenor Matthew of Bennington; her brother, Carson Lussier of Bennington; and her sisters, Alanna Lussier and Taylor Lussier, both of Bennington. She also leaves her maternal grandmother and her husband Hank, and Barbara (Cannon) Brazeau of North Adams, Mass., and her paternal grandparents, Francis and Lorreta Lussier of Lady Lake, Fla., along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The burial office with holy eucharist will be offered on Tuesday morning, April 5, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bennington at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Cannon Robert Miner officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours scheduled.

Memorials in her honor may be made to her father, Arthur Lussier, for the education of Jessei’s son Trenor, in care of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
