Joan F. Bourn 1943 - 2009 NORTH POWNAL, VT Joan F. Bourn, 65, a resident of North Pownal Road, died, Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at the Centers For Living and Rehabilitation following a long illness. She was born in Bennington, Vt., Aug. 9, 1943. Daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn Norton Goewey. Joan received her education in Bennington. In earlier years Joan was employed as a nurse's aid. She was studying to receive her R.N. Joan enjoyed country western music and horses. She also enjoyed going to fairs, camping and helping people in need. She leaves her husband, Harold P. Bourn, of Bennington, son Andre J. Hohman of Pownal, Vt., a daughter; Nina J.M. Rochette, and her husband Jim, of Brunswick, Maine, three step daughters; Mary Crandall of Bennington, Charlene Crandall of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and Sue Ann DuFour of Granville, N.Y., two step daughters; Barbara Miller of Port Jarvis, N.Y., and Debbie Tift of Pownal, three grandchildren; Keith D. Stackhouse of Augusta, Maine, Sarah L. Davis of Richmond, Maine, and Drey J. Rochette of Brunswick, Maine, great-grandson; Schylur N. Davis of Richmond, Maine, sister Ann M. Deptula of Fort Myers, Fla., brother; Charles Goewey of Fayetville, N.C., aunts Louise A. Walczak and Viola Harrington both of Bennington, and Marado Hancock of New Hampshire, her uncles Roger Bourn, and his wife Mary, of Bennington, and Millard "Mo" Bourn, and his wife Carol of Bennington, her mother-in-law Ethel Bourn of Bennington, brother-in-law, Leon "Teddy" Bourn, and his wife Feruza, of North Pownal, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Al and Jean Lloyd of Hebron, N.Y., and a very close friend Sadie Hurley of Bennington, Vt. She was pre-deceased by her father-in-law Raymond Bourn. FUNERAL NOTICE: At the request of Mrs. Bourn there will be no calling hours or funeral services. A graveside committal service will take place in the family lot at Center Shaftsbury Cemetery on May 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. If friends desire contributions in memory of Joan F.
