Joanita M. Wilkinson

1955 - 2010 POWNAL, VT Joanita M. Wilkinson, 54, a resident of Niles School Road in Pownal, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Bennington, Dec. 16, 1955, daughter of the late Earl W. Campbell and Jeannette Snow Campbell. Joanita received her early education in Pownal and was a 1973 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School.

On Aug. 10, 1974, Joanita married Stanley H. Wilkinson at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pownal. In earlier years, Joanita was employed at Hoyt Manufacturing, Jard, Storey Communications, Mass Teletech and Vermont Composites.

She enjoyed puzzles, detailing cars, softball and vacationing. Her family and grandchildren were her main interest.

She leaves her husband, Stanley Wilkinson of Pownal; two daughters, Laurie Pudvar and her husband, Austin, of Pownal and Becky Wilkinson of Pownal; three grandchildren, Damian Wilkinson- Torres, Brogan Pudvar and Rory Pudvar, all of Pownal; seven brothers and sisters, Gail LaBonte of Pownal, Kurt Campbell of Pownal, Craig Campbell of South Carolina, Nola Evans of Pownal, Susan Campbell of Williamstown, Mass., Colleen Dence of Pownal, and Jason Campbell of Pownal; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Ronald Campbell.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pownal, VT, on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. There will be no calling hours.
