Joanne Clement 1958-2011 BENNINGTON Ms. Joanne Clement, age 52, a resident of Hamilton Avenue, in Bennington died on Tuesday, January 18, as a result of injuries that she sustained in an automobile accident in Wallingford, Vt. She was born in July 31, 1958 in Cambridge, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Edward and Sybil (Pratt) Clement. She received her education local schools. Joanne loved tag sales, crocheting, reading, her three cats, and most of all her grandchildren. She loved working with the elderly. Joanne worked mostly in conjunction with the dietary department of various nursing homes. She is survived by her son James Coutant and his wife Christine of Rutland, Vt., two daughters: Shannon and Allen Ferry of Melbourne, Fla., and Jennifer and Tommy Koscos of Rutland, Vt. Joanne is also survived by her step-mother Winona Clement of North Granville, N.Y. She leaves seven sisters: Kathleen and husband Michael Meehan of Shaftsbury, Vt., Debra Henningsen of Shaftsbury, Vt. Joyce and husband Donald Latterell of Queensbury, N.Y., April and husband Virgil Woods of Ballston Spa, N.Y. and Donna and husband Jim of Hudson Falls, N.Y., also Selena and Leta Clement of Bennington. She has two brothers; Ronald and wife Carolyn Clement of Ohio, and Edward, Jr. and wife Toni Clement, of Queensbury, N.Y. Joanne has eight grandchildren, many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins, along with Neil and Brian her companions. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial service will be held on Monday afternoon, January 24, at 2:30 p.m. at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St in Bennington with the Reverend Mark Bowles, of the Shaftsbury United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in the spring. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:30 until the time of the service. A Time of Fellowship will follow immediately at the home of Kathleen and Michael Meehan at 844 RT 67E in Shaftsbury. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
