Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Graveside services for Joanne Eva Conley were held on Monday morning Feb. 23, 2004 at the White Chapel Cemetery in Bennington. The Rev. Penny Rich Smith, pastor of the North Bennington Congregational Church, officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Mrs. Conley’s children Gregory, Robert, Kevin, Donald Jr. and Pamela Conley and Jenninfer Krijnen and her husband Hans.

On Sunday afternoon family members and friends gathered at the Hanson-Wallbridge Funeral Home for a time of visitation and remembrance of Joanne’s life. A number of her family members and friends spoke of here as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and remembered Joanne as a lover of animals. During the time of remembrance the poems “Afterglow,” “The Indian Prayer” and “The Ship” were read.

Joanne E. Conley, daughetr of the late Nicolo and Florence Carbonaro and wife of Donald Conley Sr. of School Street in Bennington died on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 at the North Adams Regional Hospital at the age of 58.

In addition to local family listed in the obituary, Joanne is survived by sisters Elizabeth Maria Carbonaro of Inglewood, Calif. and Jean Carbonaro Kennard of Cupertino, Calif. She was predeceased by a sister Frances Carbonaro Lampman.
