Joanne F. LaFlamme

1939 - 2015 BENNINGTON Joanne F. LaFlamme, 75, wife of Adrien F. "Bit" LaFlamme, a resident of Bell Street, died Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Vermont Veterans Home following a long illness. Born in Hubbarton, VT on December 5, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (LaPine) King. She received her education in the Fair Haven and Bennington schools. Joanne and Adrien were married at St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington on February 12, 1961. Joanne's home and family were her favorite pastime. She also enjoyed cooking, tag sales, collecting porcelain dolls, playing cards and music and dancing Survivors include her husband, Adrien "Bit" LaFlamme of Bennington and her dog, Mocha; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Lisa LaFlamme and Paul and Tammy LaFlamme and a daughter, Brenda King Eggsware and her partner, Scott Jacobs, all of Bennington; five grandchildren, Matheson and Marcus LaFlamme, Heather Eggsware King and her husband, Chris, Christopher Eggsware and Vicki Eggsware and her partner, Tony Duskiewicz; two great-grand-children, Emily and Tyler King; a special aunt, Marion Reubsman of Syracuse, NY; three sisters-in-law, Lee Smith (Glen) of Petersburgh, NY, Annette Rice of North Bennington and June King of Hoosick Falls, NY; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Joanne was predeceased by a sister, Mary Margaret Keator; two brothers, Walter King Jr. and Howard King and by two brothers-in-law, Rev. Julien LaFlamme and Richard Rice. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered. At Joanne's request there will be no calling hours. Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Joanne LaFlamme's memory may be made to either Bennington Area VNA & Hospice or Sacred Heart School through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
