He spent most of his life as a dairy farmer operating Twin B Farm in Connecticut, before moving to Hoosick Falls to continue farming. After retiring from farming, he went into the housing business with his son, Jay. He enjoyed having horses around, his vegetable garden, and feeding the birds and the deer. Being outside "putterin" in his yard made him happy. John is predeceased by a sister, Barbara. FUNERAL NOTICE: John's wishes were that there be no calling hours or services. John will be buried in the family plot in Lebanon, Conn. John would like for people to feed the hungry animals. Arrangements are under the direction of the MAHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York. A special thank you to Dr. Marcus Martinez and his staff, and also Matt Nielson at the Center for Living & Rehab. John loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much, and was known Lovingly as "G-pa".
