John F. Dupuis "Johnny" 1944-2012 WINDSOR John "Johnny" F. Dupuis, 68, of 250 Hill Cemetery Road, Windsor, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at his home. Born in North Adams on June 24, 1944, a son of Leo W. and Anita Fortin Dupuis,he was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in North Adams. Mr. Dupuis was employed by General Electric Company as an Inspector in its Ordnance Systems Division where he worked 38 years retiring in 2002. A self-taught mechanic, he built hot rods. He also built two homes. He was a member of the Night Cruzers of Berkshire County. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping, as well as traveling and music. His greatest love was his family. Mr. Dupuis leaves his wife, the former Janice Tedford Porter whom he married March 17, 1984. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Christine L. Dupuis of Great Barrington, Lisa A. Strohmaier of Pownal, Vermont, and Payton J. Dupuis also of Pownal; three stepdaughters, Susan A. Taylor of Lanesborough, Patricia J. Morehouse of Pittsfield, and Donna L. Adams of Dalton; three stepsons, William H. Porter of Pittsfield, Richard W. Porter of Sunnyvail, Texas, and Keith H. Porter of Lee; and a sister, Patricia Keegan of the state of Washington; eighteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Bernard Dupuis and a sister, Theresa Sorel. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for John F. Dupuis will be held Friday, June 8, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery in Windsor. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
