John M. Kennedy JUPITER, FL John M. Kennedy, 85, passed away on Oct. 30, 2010. He was a graduate of the University of Kansas and proudly served his country as a Marine in World War II, stationed in the South Pacific. He retired as Plant Manager of Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury, Vt. He was the owner and proprietor of the Kirkside Motor Lodge in Bennington, Vt., and also the Hoosic Antique Center in Hoosic, N.Y. He is leaves his wife Naomi, sons Michael Kennedy of Williamstown, Mass., William Kennedy of Avon, Conn., and daughter Karen Kennedy of Glenrock, N.J.; stepchildren, Roger Cleworth of Lithia, Catherine Crosby of Jupiter, and Cynthia McDonald of Tequesta; granddaughter, Megan Kennedy; stepgrandchildren, Damon, Seth and Courtney George, Ayla, Olivia and Harrison Cleworth, Nathaniel, Brendan, Bridget and Claire Crosby, Will, Allie, Madeline and Melanie McDonald. He was predeceased by his mother and father, John and Anastasia Kennedy, his sister Loretta Hawker, daughter Christine and first wife Dorothy Fenton. MEMORIAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. in Jupiter at the Jupiter First Church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Legion or Hospice of Palm Beach. There will be a private military burial.
