Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Mr. John P. Feenan were held from Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, where the Mass of resurrection was offered by the Rev. Vincent Coppolla, csc, associate pastor.

The organist was Donald McMahon. Hymns offered during the Mass were “Here I Am Lord,” “Prayer of St. Francis,” “Ave Maria” and “On Eagles’ Wings.”

The casket pall was placed by Mr. Feenan’s daughters Lynn Feenan and Mary Peloquin. A wooden cross was then placed on the casket by Mr. Feenan’s wife Lois. The scriptural readings were offered by Leonard Anzivino. The offertory gifts were presented by Mr. Feenan’s brother Thomas Feenan and his sister Janis Beck.

Serving as pall bearers were Mr. Feenan’s sons, David, Gerald and Paul Feenan; two grandchildren, Dan and Tim Feenan; and a son-in-law, Mark Peloquin. Serving as acolytes were Leonard Anzivino, Gerald Amadon, Joseph Anton and Edward Molloy.

A reception followed the Mass at the Mount Anthony Country Club.

Mr. John P. Feenan, 71, a longtime resident of Elm Street in Bennington and more recently of Eastview Drive, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, in Bennington. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington, VT 05201.
