John T. Sigsbury

1960-2014 BENNINGTON John T. Sigsbury, 53, a resident of Vail Road, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident. John was born in Malden, Mass. on December 20, 1960 the son of Frank and Beverly (Horsman) Sigsbury. John attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Bennington and graduated from Mt. Anthony Union High School where he also was a member of the wrestling team. John worked as a supervisor for Colonial Anodizing for several years. He was a member of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Bennington and a member of Elks Lodge 1335 in Adams, Mass. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and San Francisco 49'er fan. John enjoyed following his children playing sports and cherished times being with his family. John is survived by his wife, the former Lorraine Wojick of Bennington; son, Christopher Sigsbury of Bennington; daughters, Haley Sigsbury of Bennington, Brittany Barnard of Bennington and Debra Griffin of Clarksburg, Mass.; step-son, William Vidal of Pownal; brothers, Ken Sigsbury of Pownal and Steven Sigsbury of Bennington; half brother, Ronald Sigsbury of Massachusetts; sister, Laura Clark of Wells, Vt.; half sister, Valerie of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Connor, Zoey and Max; and his parents, Frank and Beverly Sigsbury of Bennington. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, September 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Parklawn Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014 at HANSON-WALBRIDGE SHEA FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, Vermont from 5 to 7 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
