Joseph A. Cordeau

1920 - 2013 BENNINGTON, VT Joseph A. Cordeau, 92, a longtime resident of Lynn, Mass., passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Crescent Manor Care Centers in Bennington.

Joe was born in Lynn, Mass., on Dec. 4, 1920, son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Muse) Cordeau, and attended Lynn schools. He worked for General Electric as a Quality Certified Engineer in the Aerospace Division, retiring after 35 years; he then worked for Martin Marietta. Joe was an Army veteran of World War II and enjoyed fishing, big band music, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, traveled extensively due to his job, and cherished times spent with his family.

Joe is survived by is daughter, Susan Marie Cordeau of North Bennington; his son, Kenneth Cordeau of Bennington; his twin sister, Caroline Oljey of Peabody, Mass.; his granddaughter, Danielle Cordeau of Bennington, and his great grandchildren, Travis, Jay and Khloe.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Nora Vautour, and his second wife, Jennie Piccolini.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Joe will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at 2 p.m. at HANSON-WALBRIDGE & SHEA FUNERAL HOME, 213 West Main St., Bennington, VT. Interment will be private. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, from 1-2 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
