Obituary Condolences

POULTNEY -- Joseph H. Caron, 59, of Poultney, passed away on July 21, 2005, at his home.

Joseph was born on Feb. 17, 1946. in Barre, son of the late Henry J. Caron Sr. and Catheryn (Winters) Caron. He lived with his wife Mary and his brother Richard in Brandon before moving to Poultney in 1997. Prior to his retirement, Joe worked as a short order cook at Perry’s Eatery in Poultney. He enjoyed tag saling, and buying, restoring, and then selling antiques. Joe also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Caron of Poultney; his children, Tricia Emmons and her husband David of Tennessee, Shawn Caron and his finance, Amy of Barre; his step-children, Charity Rivers and her husband Mike of West Pawlet, Dawn Rivers and her husband Leroy of South Glens Falls, N.Y., Elizabeth Benson and her finance, George Garhartt of Gloversvitle, N.Y., Chester Gates and his wife, Micki of Pownal and Darlena Smith and her husband, Keith of Salem, Va.; three brothers, Richard Caron, Henry Caron and Butch Caron; two sisters, Shirley Lund and Jane Jewett; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Frances Stell.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2005, at Joe’s home on Lewis Road in Poultney.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home in Poultney.
