Obituary Condolences

BENNINGTON -- A Mass of Christian death and burial was offered for Josephine, “Joan” Clifford on Monday morning, Oct. 10, 2005, at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington with the Rev. James Preskenis, csc, pastor, presiding. Concelebrating the Mass was the Rev. Vincent Coppola, associate pastor.

The organist was Mr. Donald McMahon and the soloist was Ms. Monica Murray. The selected hymns for the Mass included “Amazing Grace,” “Supper of the Lord,” “Ave Maria” and “On Eagles’ Wings.”

Scriptures was read by Mr. Leonard Anzivino.

Servers for the Mass were Mr. Francis Sausville, Mr. Gerald Amadon, Mr. James Kempf, and Mr. Leonard Anzivino.

Interment took place privately in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery, where the Rev. Coppola offered the prayers of committal.

Following the Mass, a time of fellowship took place at the Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Parish Hall.

Mrs. Josephine “Joan” Clifford, 76, a resident of Woodland Drive, died on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
