Joshua Paul O'Brien 1986 - 2011 HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. Joshua Paul O'Brien, 24, died tragically Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the home of his father in Eagle Bridge. His father, Dan Allen Harrington and step-mother, Lisa Jean Coon Harrington also died that day. Born on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1986, in Bennington, Vt., he was the oldest son of Pollyanna O'Brien of Hoosick Falls and the late Dan A. Harrington. Josh earned his GED through BOCES and Hoosick Falls High School. He worked as a carpenter and was currently working for Bruce Hunter in Hoosick Falls. Josh was a wonderful, gentle young man who loved animals of all kinds and was always looking out for his younger brothers. He liked fishing, deer hunting and 4-wheeling. He had a great time making "exotic machines" and always had to "reinvent the wheel." Even though he had a quiet demeanor, he always liked to make people laugh and smile. Besides his mother, Josh is survived by his three-year-old son, Ayden R. O'Brien, and Ayden's mother, Ginelle Hunter of Hoosick Falls; two brothers, Erick Neil Harrington of Eagle Bridge and Nicholas Allen Harrington of Hoosick Falls; his maternal grandmother, Patricia McGarvin; his maternal great-grandmother, Hazel Springer; his paternal grandparents, Raymond C. Harrington Sr. and Diana; his paternal great-grandfather, Shank Harrington; uncles, Roland O'Brien and wife, Theda, of Pittstown, Dennis O'Brien of Hoosick Falls, Raymond C. Harrington, Jr. and wife, Shelley, of Shaftsbury, Vt., Ralph S. Harrington and wife, Sarah, of Cambridge, and John H. Harrington and wife, Pam, of Eagle Bridge; aunts, Krista (McGarvin) Dooley and husband, Tom, of Hoosick Falls and Tammy Lee Harrington of Mount Holly, Vt., and many cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, July 17, 2011, from 2 to 6 p.m. at ACKLEY & ROSS FUNERAL HOME, 73 West Main Street, Cambridge. A funeral service for Joshua, Dan, and Lisa will be held Monday, July 18, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church, 81 East Main Street, Cambridge. Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery, Center White Creek. The family request memorial donations be made to a local fire department or rescue squad of your choice.
