Joyce A. Maynard 1919-2008 WILLIAMSTOWN Joyce A. Brothers Maynard 89, of 60 Harrison Ave., died Wednesday April 2, at the North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in North Adams, on March 13, 1919, daughter of the late Frank & Pauline Bechard Brothers Rooney. She attended schools in Pownal and graduated from Williamstown High School in 1937. She was employed in the Alumni and mailroom at Williams College for 20 years. She was a communicant of St's. Patrick and Raphael Parish in Williamstown, and was a longtime volunteer Women's Exchange in Williamstown and a member of the Friendship Club at the Harper Center. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed her flower garden. Her husband, John S. Maynard whom she married April 30, 1941 in St. Raphael's Church died June 11, 2003. She leaves four Daughters, Joan Bushika and her husband George of Cheshire. Jean Maynard of Williamstown, Joy Primmer and her husband John of Pownal, Vt. and Julie Martell and Husband Valmore of Pownal, Vt. Five grandchildren, Mark Bushika, Eric Bushika and his wife Tara, Josh Primmer, Michele and Heather Martell. Two greatgrandchildren, Ava Bushika and Tashina St. Germain. a sister, Virginia Farinon of Williamstown. She was predeceased by her stepfather, John Rooney. FUNERAL NOTICE: Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown, Mass. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Williamstown, Mass. There are No Calling Hours.
