BENNINGTON -- Joyce Elisabeth Bennett, 63, a resident of Chime Street, died Friday evening, Aug. 27, 2004, at Crescent Manor Care Centers following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bennett was born in Northampton, Mass. on Jan. 3,1941, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Chambers) Campbell. She grew up in the Easthampton area and was a graduate of East Hampton High School, class of 1958, where she was a member of the Massachusetts Allstate Chorus. After high school she continued her education studying music at Holyoke Community College and Westfield State College. Prior to relocating to Bennington she had resided in Spencer, Tenn. where she had been a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church , she was the church organist at Mt. Zion as well as at several other churches. She loved music especially playing classical selections on the piano or organ. Mrs. Bennett leaves four sons, Christopher Wild of Easthampton, Robert Wild of Easthampton, Bruce Wild of Bennington and Scott Bennett of Bennington; a daughter, Lorelei Mason of Bennington; a brother, Robert C. Campbell of New York City; six granddaughters, one grandson, a niece and several cousins.

At Mrs. Bennett’s request there will be no services.
