Judith A. Dame 1940 - 2008 NORTH BENNINGTON Judith A. Dame, 67, wife of Richard J. Dame, a resident of Hall Street, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, following a long illness. Born in Bennington on June 11, 1940, daughter of the late Linton F. and Ann LaFlamme Tefft, she received her education in the local schools and was a 1958 graduate of Bennington High School. She later attended nursing school in Albany, N.Y. Judy had been employed at the Bennington Banner for 27 years. Spending time with her family and many friends, reading and her dog,"Chloe", and her granddog, "Toby", were her favorite pastimes. Dick and Judy were married at St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington on February 17, 1962. Besides her husband, Richard J. Dame of North Bennington, she leaves a son, John L. "Jay" Dame of North Bennington; a son and daughter-in-law, Kyle R. and Mindy Dame of Bennington; an aunt, Yvonne LaFlamme of Bennington; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and two very special friends, Donna Harrington and Claire Granger. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. with a prayer and from St. John the Baptist Church in North Bennington at 10, where the Mass of Resurrection will be offered. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family. Should friends desire, contributions in Judith Dame's memory may be made to either the Bennington Rescue Squad or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
