Judith had worked as a transcriptionist in medical records at Fletcher Allen Health Care for more than 36 years. Judy was a very caring, giving person. Anyone who Judy came into contact with will never forget what a special person she was. She was the type of friend that comes around once in a lifetime.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James R. Monroe, of Essex Junction; her son and his wife, Craig and Beth Monroe, of South Burlington; her daughter, Stacey Crawford, of Essex Junction; a sister, Carole Finney, of Shaftsbury; and a brother, John Corskie and his wife, Terry, of Montpelier; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Albert and Judith P. Monroe, of Williston, and Lawrence and Dolores Monroe, of Burlington; a sister-in-law and her husband, Joyce and David Silveira, of South Burlington; and her special grandson, Styles Crawford, of Essex Junction, who was the “light of her life,” and another grandchild due this month; along with several nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her dearest friend, Terrie Froehlich of Colchester.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 North Winooski Ave., Burlington, beginning at 10 a.m. today. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Hope Memorial Cemetery in Barre.
