1955 - 2015 BENNINGTON Kathleen "Kathy" LeBlanc, wife of Curtis LeBlanc, a resident of Oakes Street, died peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home following a long illness. Born in Newark, NJ on June 16, 1955, Kathy received her education in the North Haven, CT schools. Kathy and Curtis were married on October 15, 1977 in North Haven. In earlier years Kathy was employed at Berkshire Ivy Garden and later as office manager at the Berkshire Mall in Pittsfield, MA. For the past nine years Kathy has been putting up a miraculous fight against pancreatic cancer. Her will to survive and her "never give up" attitude has been an inspiration to many. The family would like to extend their deep felt appreciation to all who have shown support for so long. Her favorite pastime was cruising the Caribbean with Curtis. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Stanley Choplick, Doris (Hoffa) Choplick and Patricia (Hines) Choplick. Survivors include her husband, Curtis LeBlanc of Bennington. two sons, Paul (Sandy Hale) LeBlanc of Bennington and Thomas (Tara Collins) LeBlanc of Brandon, FL, four grandchildren, Alyssa (Jesse) Hatcher, Thomas LeBlanc, Charles LeBlanc and Madison Collins. two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Autumn Hatcher, her siblings, Greg Choplick, Patrick and Hope Choplick, Maria and Tom Ryan and Laurette (Jeff Ward) Choplick. many nieces, nephews and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends are invited to pay respects to the family on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home from 3 to 5p.m. when the family will be in attendance. Should friends desire memorial contributions in Kathy LeBlanc's memory may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
