Kenneth L. Bacon

1943 - 2012 MANCHESTER CENTER, VT Kenneth L. Bacon, 69, a resident of Lorette Avenue in Manchester Center, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at his home.

Kenneth was born in Bennington on Feb. 21, 1943, son of Victor L. and Lillian (Newton) Bacon. He received his education in Bennington and Townshend schools, graduating from Burr and Burton Seminary in 1962. Kenneth worked as a mechanic at the Manchester Ford Garage, Seward's Ford in Rutland, Green Mountain Air Freight in Hartford, Vt., and for Dorr Oil Company for over 30 years. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, vegetable gardening and was a movie buff.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Tim Bacon of Bennington, and Nicole Bacon of New Bedford, Mass.; his brother, Victor Bacon and his wife Beverly of Manchester; his sisters, Chris and Charlene Bacon, both of Shaftsbury; his special nieces, Venus Bacon-Fitzpatrick of Wells and Tina Baker of Middle Granville, N.Y., two grandchildren and his special K-9 family Willie, Wally and Waylon.

He was predeceased by his brother, Clifton Bacon, who passed away May 5, 1966, while serving in Viet-Nam.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside funeral services for Kenneth will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington. Visiting hours will be held Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at BREWSTER FUNERAL SERVICE, 34 Park Place, Manchester Center, VT from 6-8 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
