Kerry E. Allen 1963 - 2011 MANCHESTER, VT Kerry E. Allen, 48, of Manchester passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving partner, Kim, and his adoring family and friends. Kerry was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on Feb 26, 1963, son of Richard and Georgia (Cardy) Allen. Kerry was a carpenter and worked for several area contractors over the years. Kerry had the ability to fix anything and was referred to as the "wizard." He was an avid sports fan, being especially into NASCAR, and a huge fan of the Yankees and Buffalo Bills. He also loved snowmobiling and fishing. Kerry's greatest asset however, was that he was loved by everyone who met him. He was always willing to help someone in need, even when battling his own illnesses. He was an inspiration to all as he bravely fought Leukemia and Cancer for nine years. Kerry is survived by his soulmate of the past 11 years, Kim Moore, of Manchester; his son, Sean Allen, and daughters, Elizabeth Allen and Emma Allen, all of Brookline, N.H., and his stepdaughter, Chelsy Moore of Manchester; his mother, Georgia Gough; his sisters, Kristine Britton of Melbourne, Fla., and Kimberly Harrison of Nashville, Tenn.; his brother; Jonathan Allen of Jamestown, N.Y.; his stepsister, Stacy Goode,of Fort Myers, Fla., a large extended family, and many near and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Allen, his brother, Kevin Allen, and his stepfather, James Gough. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Celebration of Kerry's life will take place on Sunday, Aug.t 21, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Dorr Farm Barn on Routes 11/30 in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Kerry's memory be made to the Cancer Center at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center to help them continue their amazing work, c/o BREWSTER FUNERAL SERVICE, PO Box 885, Manchester Center, VT 05255.
