Knox D. Divoll
1940 - 2014 ROCKINGHAM Knox D. Divoll, 73, of Rockingham Hill Road, died Friday, May 16. Knox was born in Bellows Falls on Aug. 23, 1940, the son of Natt L. and Josephine Knox Divoll. He was a 1958 graduate of Bellows Falls High School and a 1962 graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. He worked for Pan-American Airways for 12 years, living in many parts of the world including Viet Nam, Thailand, Nigeria, Liberia, and Iran. In 1977, he returned to Vermont and became the owner of Windigo Travel in Manchester, Vt., until his retirement in 2010. Following his retirement, he made his home at the Little Red School House in Rockingham, where he went to school as a child. Knox enjoyed entertaining his family and many friends, traveling, gardening, and the company of his beloved dog, Ziggy. Knox is survived by his brother, N. Lincoln Divoll, III, and his sister, Marcia K. Divoll of Nahant, Mass.; his niece, Lisa Divoll Painter, and nephews, Ira and Ian Divoll. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Scott J. Divoll. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Arrangements are in the care of FENTON HENNESSEY FUNERAL HOME in Bellows Falls, VT.
