Lawrence B. Carra Lawrence B. Carra, aged 49, died on November 23, 2010. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska, served in the US Army and resided in Shaftsbury and Arlington, Vermont for the past 20 years. He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Geraldine Carra of Grayson, Kentucky, his daughters Meegen and Kristen Carra, his brother Donald Carra, his sister in law Lisa and nephew Brett and his close friend Doria Polinger. Larry was a kind, gentle and giving man who possessed a wonderful sense of humor. He was a loving father to his daughters Meegen and Kristen Carra who brought him great joy and pride. He was an airframe power mechanic by trade and had a lifelong passion for aviation. Larry's other great passion was fishing, and he spent many days enjoying the lakes and rivers where he fished with friends. Larry was a talented drummer and enjoyed music, sports, building airplane models and cooking. Larry had many close friends, who will miss him dearly. He was a good man, a man of integrity, honesty, patience, generosity and kindness. He touched many lives, and for those who knew and loved him, he will live on in our hearts. FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of Larry's life will be held in his memory at the Old First Church Carriage Barn near the Bennington Monument on Wednesday, December 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. Please join us for an informal potluck dinner and bring a dish to share.
