Lawrence E. LaFlamme BENNINGTON Lawrence E. LaFlamme, 84, of Camillus, N.Y., died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Community-General Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y. Born in North Pownal, he was raised in Bennington and lived in Camillus since 1964. Larry received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Universuty of Vermont. A sales engineer for General Electric Co., he retired in 1988 after 36 years. An Army veteran of World War II, he received the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, four bronze battle stars, Silver Star and Air Medal. He was a member of the 483rd Bomb Group of the 15th AAF, stationed in Italy. He leaves his wife of 60 years, the former Caroline Sanford; daughters, Helen Capone of Ewing, N.J., and Lauren (Jan) Waldron of Richmond, Va.; sons, David (Bonnie) LaFlamme of Middleburgh, Fla., and John LaFlamme of Camillus; sister, Alice Bailey of Bennington, and seven grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at BURANICH FUNERAL HOME, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Friends may call preceding the service from 9 to 11 at the funeral home.
