Lawrence Nolan Ellis SUMTER, SC Lawrence "Larry" Nolan Ellis, 62, husband of Helen Ethel Oldham Ketchum Ellis, died Monday, May 16, 2011, at the Tuomey Regional Medical Center.Born in Cortland, N.Y., he was a son of the late Rev. Elwin Miles Ellis and Lois Lillian Shoemaker Ellis. Mr. Ellis was a member of First Baptist Church and was a member of the choir. He was employed by Sykes Enterprises as an IT Customer Representative. He also worked at the American Legion Fair Memorial Building at the Fair Grounds. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; one daughter Kristal Ketchum of Sumter; two step-sons, Scott John Ketchum and wife Sissie and James Herbert Ketchum of Sumter; one step-daughter, Tammy Helen Fielding and husband Lee of Shaftsbury, VT; two brothers, Rodney P. Ellis of Sumter and Martin Ellis of MO; one sister, Beverly Jean Liken of Philadelphia, PA; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Ellis. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Clanton officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1211 Bradd St. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Music Ministry, P.
