BUSHNELL, Fla. -- Leland “Red” March, 75, a former Hoosick Falls, N.Y. resident, died on Sept. 9, 2004, at the Leesburg Hospital in Florida after a brief illness.

Born in Cambridge, N.Y. he was the son of the late Leland and Helen Lake march and the beloved husband of Jean Hunziker Anders March of Bushnell.

Mr. March was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1948 to 1952. He was a retired truck driver for the Blue Flame Gas Co. in Hoosick Falls and moved to Florida in 1988. While in Florida he worked as a security guard for the Carol-Fulmer Co. of Groveland. Mr. March was 30-year member of the Hoosick Falls Elks Club and a member of the Derby Club and the American Legion.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his daughter Stephanie Davis March of Gilbertsville, Pa.; sons, Bruce March of Pottstown, Pa. and Greg March of Hoosick Falls; sister, Muriel Queer of Kansas City; three granddaughters, Kate Davis, Sarah March and Sydney March; five stepchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 870 Second Ave. (124th and 125th streets) in Lansingburgh. Calling hours are from 12 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Internment will be in Millertown Cemetery in Johnsonville.
