MANCHESTER -- Lena “Lee” Vincent, 90, a resident of The Meadows and formerly of White Plains, N.Y. and Ocala, Fla., died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at The Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.

She was born in Ravena, Italy, on Jan. 26, 1915, the daughter of Riccardo and Mary Bernardi. She grew up in White Plains, N.Y., where she received her elementary education and graduated from White Plains High School. She married Louis Vincent in White Plains on May 1, 1935. Mr. Vincent died in 1975.

Lena worked as a manager in the housekeeping departments for various nursing homes throughout her career. Lena was a member of the Northshire Senior Citizens and enjoyed the senior lunch programs. She loved driving to Bennington to go swimming at the recreation center and was an avid reader, so much so that the Mark Skinner Library in Manchester brought books to her house for her reading enjoyment. She loved her cat and cherished times spent with her family.

She is survived by her son, Howard Vincent of Manchester; four grandchildren, Michelle and Laura Vincent of Manchester, Scott Vincent of Baltimore and Greg Vincent of Washington, D.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Cole, Will and Harrison Vincent.

At the family’s request, funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the family lot in Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River, N.J.
