Obituary Condolences

DANBY -- Graveside funeral services with full military honors for Leo L. Colvin were held Monday afternoon in Scottsville Cemetery in Danby. The Rev. John Foster, chaplain at the Vermont Veterans Home, conducted the service. Words of remembrance and a time of reflection was offered by Mr. Colvin’s grandson, Leon Croff and his granddaughter, Deborah Ballantine. Full military honors were accorded by VFW Post 6471, Manchester. The flag that draped the veterans casket was folded by color guard members Tom Hayes and Steve Byrne and was presented to Mr. Colvin’s daughter, Virginia Edmunds. Firing squad members included Steve Leach and Wink Roberts. Taps and echo was sounded by Maurice Rancourt. A time of fellowship and refreshments followed the service at the American Legion Post 39 in Poultney.
