1921 - 2013 SUDBURY Leona Lampron LeBlanc, 91, widow of Albert J. LeBlanc, a resident of Lake Hortonia Road, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Rutland.

Leona was born on March 26, 1921, daughter of Alfred Eugene Lampron and Marie Louise (Branchaud) Lampron. Leona received her education in Bennington and was a 1938 graduate of Bennington High School.

Leona and Albert were married on Oct. 12, 1946, at Sacred Heart Church in Bennington. Albert died Oct. 6, 2001.

Leona was employed at the Union Carbide Corporation for many years, Following her retirement, Leona and Albert moved to Lake Hortonia where she worked at children's summer camps in the area for several years.

A very proud Vermonter, Leona enjoyed tatting, the Rutland Herald crosswords puzzles, reading, and especially her friends and family.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Patricia Lampron of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; ten nieces and six nephews and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews, along with many cousins.

Leona was predeceased by seven siblings, Louise Dumas, Paul, Ernest, Jeannette, Armand, Raymond, and Marguerite Lampron and by two nieces, Pauline Jones and Cynthia Haines.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside committal services will be held at the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery at a time to be announced in the spring.
