1934 - 2014 NORTH POWNAL, VT. Leona B. Miller, 80, a resident of Dean Road, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Leona was born in North Pownal on December 28, 1934 the daughter of Louis and Georgiana (King) Harris and attended local school. Leona worked for the Tannery in North Pownal for nearly 40 years. She enjoyed her home and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leona is survived by her daughter Jo-Anne Mottor and her husband, Michael of North Pownal, grandsons, Robbie Kennison and his wife, April and Justin Mottor and his wife, Jessica, both of Bennington, sisters, Arlene Pratt of North Pownal, Joyce Thomas of Cambridge, N.Y. and Marilyn Woodard of North Pownal, great-grandchildren Anthony, Ashley, Keagan, Damien, Mason, Olivia and Kingston and great-great grandchild Kyearra. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Miller whom she married July 10, 1954. Mr. Miller died April 14, 2009. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Leona will be held Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, Vermont. Interment will follow in the family lot in Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
