Obituary Condolences

NORTH BENNINGTON -- Leonard M. (Chipper) Couch, 55, of Scarey Lane, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at his home.

He was born in Bennington on Jan. 10, 1949, the son of Leonard W. and Mildred (Sauer) Couch, and attended local schools.

Chipper was a "jack-of-all-trades." He loved riding motorcycles and especially enjoyed attending bike week in both Daytona Beach, Fla., and Laconia, N.H. He also enjoyed super bike racing.

Chipper is survived by his father, Leonard of Lebanon, Conn.; three brothers, Michael Couch of Willimantic, Conn. and Thomas and Stephen Couch of Lebanon, Conn.; three sisters, Laura Ryder of Middleton, N.H. and Tracy Hurst and Dawn Sparks of Lebanon, Conn.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Sauer, and his step-mother, Laura Couch, who died Jan. 6, 2004.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Couch will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. in Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester. There are no visiting hours.
