Leonard T. Quinn 1946 - 2012 BENNINGTON Leonard T. "Lenny" Quinn, 66, of East Road, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his residence, following a brief illness. Born in New Haven, Conn., on May 27, 1946, Lenny received his education in the New Haven schools. He had been employed for several years as a Park Ranger at Half Moon State Park in Rutland and later at Nastech/NSK in Bennington. He most recently worked at Hannaford in Bennington until he retired due to illness. Lenny's favorite pastime was spent working around his home and in his yard, but most especially time spent with his friends. To Lenny's many friends who brought food, called, or stopped by: Lenny loved you all. "True friends are the Angels in our lives." Lenny, we love you and we will miss you. Never to be forgotten. Lenny is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Emily Quinn currently stationed in Portsmouth, Va., with the Coast Guard; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Gloria Quinn of Englewood, Fla., and his very close extended family, Byron and Freda Waterman, Pete and Darlene Davis, Glenn and Sandy Ruggles, Ella and Kevin Leonard, Mike and Mary Rule, Jim and Dee Greenlaw, Dan and Cathy Scribner and Gary and Traci Knights. Lenny was predeceased by his mother, Katherine (Tanner) Kruszewski, and by his long time companion, Barbara Connolly. FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of Lenny's life, hosted by his "Circle of Friends," will be held at Lenny's home on East Road in Bennington on Saturday, July 14, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m. Private committal services will be held at White Chapel Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Leonard T. Quinn's memory may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the office of the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
