Leonie G. "Honey" Jones 1917 - 2008 BENNINGTON Leonie G. "Honey" Jones, 90, widow of Edward W "Ted" Jones, of Park Street died peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at her residence. Born in Bennington on Sept. 29, 1917, the daughter of Ernest J. and Cordelia Roy Marcoux, she received her education at the Sacred Heart School and at St. Joseph's Business school, where she graduated in 1933. A devout member of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church, she was also a member of the St. Anne Society at the church. Her greatest pleasure came from times spent with her children and grandchildren. Her husband, Edward, whom she married Oct. 17, 1942, at Sacred Heart Church, died Feb. 4, 1995. She leaves two daughters, Suzanne T. Jones of Bennington and Sharon J. Vogel of North Bennington; a son, Edward W. "Ted" Jones III of Healdsburg, Calif.; four grandsons, two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters; a first cousin, Lionel Marcoux of Bennington and several nieces, nephews and other cousins. She was predeceased by four sisters and nine brothers, Carmel Moran, Irene Giard, Julia Bronson, Marie-Therese, Lucien, Roland, Raymond, Richard, Henry, Francis, Clement, Victor and Alfred Marcoux. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. from the MAHAR & SON FUNERAL HOME with a prayer, and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 11 a.m. where the Mass of Resurrection will be offered. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Should friends desire, contributions in Mrs. Jones memory may be made to Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington, VT 05201. All members of the Ste. Anne Society are asked to meet at the funeral home on Sunday at 5 p.m. for the recitation of the Rosary in memory of Mrs. Jones.
