Lillian M. Johnson

1912 - 2013 ARLINGTON Lillian M. Johnson, 100, a resident of Warm Brook Road, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at her home.

Lillian was born in Arlington on May 12, 1912, the daughter of Arthur and Maude (Twitchell) Johnson and attended local schools. She attended Castleton State Teachers School and taught as an elementary school teacher in various area schools for over 43 years.

Lillian was a former Martha Canfield Library Board Member and was a member of numerous Teacher's Organizations. She loved flowers and enjoyed bird watching, reading and cooking.

She was very kind and family oriented and a genuine, wonderful person.

Lillian is survived by her sisters, Ruth Kesick, 91 years old and Alice Young, 85 years of age, both of Arlington; her grand niece and nephew, Jennifer and Peter Becker, who were also her caregivers for many years which allowed her to stay in her own home; one cousin, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Marion Johnson Wright, who lived to the age of 99.
