Lillian Florence Mann 1911-2010 ARLINGTON Lillian Florence Mann, 98, of Barre, Mass., formerly of Arlington, passed away on September 23, 2010. She was born October 11, 1911 in Philadelphia, Pa. the daughter of Charles and Alice (Milum) Officer. Lillian attended schools in Connecticut, graduating in 1929 from Hillhouse High School in New Haven, Conn. and then attended Yale University. On November 5, 1932, she married Arthur Parent Mann in the Centerville section of Hamden Conn. She worked at Elim Park Baptist Home in Cheshire Mass. Lillian enjoyed rug hooking, crocheting and creating artwork, especially drawings and oil paintings. She is a former member of the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, Conn. Lillian is survived by seven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased in death on October 18, 1987 by her husband, Arthur P. Mann, two sons Steven L. Mann and Charles H. Mann, two daughters Jane Mitchell and Ethel Messme, a brother Ernest E. Officer and her sister Alice Bossoli. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 12 p.m. at the HANSON-WALBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME 213 W. Main St. Bennington, Vt. Burial will take place Briggs Cemetery in Ballston Spa, NY following the service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday September 27, 2010 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12.
