Lillian H. Reynolds 1909-2010 MANCHESTER Lillian H. Reynolds, 100, a resident of Equinox Terrace and formerly of West Arlington, passed away Sunday August 15, 2010 at Equinox Terrace in Manchester, Vt. Lillian was born in Johnsonville, N.Y. on September 21, 1909 the daughter of Clarence and Lillian Eldred Herrington. She graduated from Hoosick Falls (NY) High School and Russell Sage College in 1930. Lillian taught school for five years at Hoosick Falls High School before marrying Edgar T. Reynolds of Larchmont, N.Y. in 1935. She then taught in private schools in Westchester County, N.Y. and the Professional Children's School in New York City. Having owned property on Sandgate Road in Arlington, Vt. since 1940, she and Edgar relocated there permanantly in 1970. Lillian did a lot of traveling throughout Europe and Asia. Her Arlington volunteer activities included the American Red Cross, RSVP, the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Library in Arlington, where she was a board member. Lillian was a member of the Arlington Garden Club, an avid reader, a Scrabble and bridge player, and a member of the Federated Church of East Arlington. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Barbara R. Nelson and her husband, Robert l. Nelson, of Pelham, N.Y.;, her grandson, Christopher R. Nelson, of Grand Junction, Colo., her cousin, Dorothy Joubert, of Schenectady, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. The family sincerely wishes to thank the Equinox Terrace nurses and aides for their loving care. FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of the life of Lillian H. Reynolds will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Federated Church of East Arlington. Rev. Kathleen Clark will conduct the service. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Lillian's memory may be made to the Arlington Rescue Squad, the Federated Church of East Arlington or the Martha Canfield Fisher Library c/o Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home P.O.
