Lillian E. Snyder 1930 - 2011 BENNINGTON, VT Lillian Edith Snyder, 81, a former resident of Main Street in Shaftsbury, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. She was born in Hyde Park, Vt., Feb. 24, 1930, daughter of the late Leo A. Coty and Velma Pauline (Nichols) Coty. Lillian received her education in Hyde Park. She was predeceased by her husbands, Francis Crawford, Donald P. Snyder and Fred Boise. In earlier years, Lillian was employed as a waitress at the Equinox in Manchester, BenMont Paper Company and Bennington Dry Cleaners. She later worked at the Jard Corporation in Bennington. Lillian was a former member of the Women's Auxiliary at the VFW Post 1332 and the Bennington Moose Lodge. She loved to dance, especially the two step; she also enjoyed going to Bingo. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Gauthier and her husband, Joe, of Bennington and Charlotte Crawford of Bennington; two sons, Robert Crawford of Pine Level, N.C., and Franklin Crawford of Wickenburg, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leo Coty and his wife, Emma, of Dudley, Mass., and Earl Coty and his wife of West Brookfield, Mass., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sons, Francis and Joseph Crawford. FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends may call at the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday Nov. 29, 2011, from 4 to 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the family lot in the Center Shaftsbury Cemetery.
